The ‘Boxwood Beauty’ Natal Plum has luscious, deep-green large leaves set off with bright-white star shaped fragrant flowers. During and following blossoming, edible ruby-red-colored fruits appear. Unlike its other Carissa counterparts, ‘Boxwood Beauty’ is notably compact and nearly thornless, making it a great choice for borders and near walkways. Its unique texture fits in well and adds interest in the formal or informal landscape, and even performs nicely in containers and beds. It grows relatively slowly, so it requires little to no pruning, and its litter is almost nonexistent.
