Desert Senna is much like the other Australian Sennas in form and stature, but is much greener than other varieties, and while thriving in high reflected heat, it also tolerates much colder temperatures. Clusters of golden yellow blooms cover these plants from late winter through spring, creating a lively blast of color against the deep-green, feathery foliage.
The color display is quite stunning when this shrub is planted in mass or grouped in unclipped rows or hedges, but also looks incredible when highlighted as an accent, foundation, or specimen in the garden. Prune off developing seed pods to maintain a compact form and improve Desert Senna’s summer appearance.
