Little Leaf Ranger is a very unique member of the Leucophyllums; a group of plants known for their cold tolerance, drought resistance and love for hot, sunny climates. This shrub is easily distinguishable from other Leucophyllum species by its small, oblong leaves that are thick and succulent, ranging from green to grey-green in color. Little Leaf Ranger is valued for its superior cold tolerance and its tendency to bloom later in the year than its counterparts. Cooler fall temperatures will inspire a profuse display of large, purple flowers when most of the other Leucophyllums are wrapping up their blooming cycles for the year.
